Coated for LEEP/Lletz

Inspect frequently before and after each use for cracks, nicks, cuts, dents and depressions which may decrease the effectiveness of the insulation, leading to electric burn or shock. Always verify that there is no metal visible underneath the insulation coating.

Clean with a soft brush and mild soapy water to remove debris. Clean inside of smoke tube with a small brush or pipe cleaner. Ultrasonic cleaning is not recommended.

May be disinfected with a glutaraldehyde solution but please note:

  • Failure to follow manufacture cycle procedures exactly will cause the instrument to degenerate over time.
  • Do not leave instruments in solution for more than 2 hours
  • Rinse off all traces of solution with sterile water
  • Once a coated instrument has been disinfected with Glutaraldehyde, it may never again be steam autoclaved.

May be sterilized by ETO gas or steam autoclave at 270°F for 10 minutes, or as detailed by your autoclave directions. Do not exceed 275°F. Flash sterilization is not recommended for coated instruments.

Wrap all coated instruments to prevent contact with other instruments during autoclaving.
